In-Circuit Emulator

Model-in-the-loop to Processor-in-the-loop
Linking MathWorks Simulink models and Lauterbach TRACE32 emulators, Mx-Suite provides the same test tool and the same test cases in both environments allowing equivalence between the model and its generated C code to be easily demonstrated. This eliminates creating a second suite of tests for the target environment. Further, the effort in achieving ISO 26262 compliance is noticeably reduced:

  • By comprehensively testing the generated code, the need to qualify the code generator for ISO 26262 is eliminated.
  • According to the ISO 26262-6 Road Vehicle – Functional Safety specification “the test environment for the software unit testing shall correspond as closely as possible to the target environment.” Through back-to-back testing, the effort devoted to testing on the target is virtually eliminated.
  • ISO 26262-6 recommends performing code coverage measurements. Mx-Suite leverages Danlaw’s RapiCover code coverage tool to transparently automate the capture of MC/DC code coverage statistics, while tests are executing on the TRACE32 emulation target platform.

AUTOSAR

From Code to the Test Environment

AUTOSAR software components (SWCs) can be quickly and efficiently tested with little or no programming experience. Mx-Suite automatically creates a test harness in just a few steps by importing I/O information from an AUTOSAR Architecture tool (ARXML files). After adding the source code, a fully configurable PC platform is ready to build and perform functional testing of the SWCs.

  • Allows simple equivalency testing when migrating to an AUTOSAR architecture or when using MBD
  • Includes an automatically configured Window-based AUTOSAR OS
  • Generates a fully configured RTE ready to link to your SWC software
  • Supports testing of individual software components and compositions
  • Allows the tester to manipulate all the inputs to the SWCs including function call return values
